Obituary of Alice R. Sutter

Alice Rita (Smaniotto) Sutter passed away on November 28th in Palm Harbor, FL at the age of 81. Alice was born on May 22,1942 to Anna (Scaglia) and Anthony Smaniotto of Vineland, NJ where she resided most of her life.

Alice graduated from Vineland High School in 1959. She was employed by the Vineland Electric Company, Prudential, and the Vineland Developmental Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to the casino and beaches. She loved wintering in Dunedin, FL and attending Phillies Spring Training with her husband. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a devoted member of St. Padre Pio Parish in East Vineland, NJ, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for many years. She enjoyed being a member of the Grandparents Association at St. Mary's School in Vineland. She was a member of the St. Rita Society, Holy Rosary Society, Red Hat Society and The Lakes Club in Dunedin, FL where she served as an officer. When she was in Florida, she attended Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She is predeceased by her husband, C. Edward Sutter, who she was married to for 54 years. She is survived by her three children, Denise (Sutter) Branin and husband Dennis, Michele Sutter and Carl Sutter and wife Lori. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Eric Branin and wife Krystal and Matthew, Megan and Allie Sutter. She is survived by one brother, Richard Smaniotto and wife Beverly, and predeceased by her siblings and their spouses: Anthony and Joan Smaniotto, Gloria and Raymond Franceschini, George and Linda Smaniotto and Lucille and Earl Wobensmith.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 12:30pm at St. Padre Pio Parish, 4680 Dante Ave, Vineland, NJ, 08361, followed by a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
