Obituary of Ismael Martinez-Sandoval
Ismael (Canito Cano) Martinez Sandoval 98 of Landisville, NJ passed away on December 11, 2023 at home surrounded by loving family and friends.
Ismael was born on February 10,1925 to the late Rafael Martinez and Ramona Sandoval in Ciales, Puerto Rico. He came to the USA at a young age and worked at local farms, chicken coops, and feed mills. He retired from the Kimble Glass Factory in Vineland, NJ.
Ismael enjoyed his long walks around Landisville, gardening and hanging out with friends at El Mandando Market. The question always asked what was his secret to longevity? The answer was he didn't worry about any problems that came his way. He would put his energy into figuring out how to live with it and adapt. He always ate something good with the bad.
He was predeceased by his brothers, sisters, granddaughter, Debra A. Rosario and son, Nector Galindez.
Ismael is survived by his children, Ismael Rosario (Mingie), Ramon Rosario, Nilda Diaz and Edwin Diaz; grandchildren, Mark, Carmen (Roberto), Alice, Felipe, Luis, Ramon, Yolanda, Angel, Monica and great grand kids.
We would like to send a thank to all his neighbors who kept an eye on him to make sure he was okay and a special thank you to Guadalupe and Blanca who was by his side during his time here and to the end.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10am to 12pm, followed by funeral services at 12pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
