Obituary of Luis A. Garcia
Luis A. Garcia ,65, from Vineland, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 in Vineland New Jersey.
Luis A. Garcia was born in his beloved city Jayuya, Puerto Rico on October 29th, 1958 to Manuel Garcia & Guillermina Rivera. He went to Atlantic City High School and graduated in 1978. He went on to serve in the US Army and worked for Sands Hotel Casino, Silverton Yachts & Seabrook House for most of his adult life.
Luis was an exemplary son, husband, father, and human being. He embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in his care for his entire family and countless others. Luis was big hearted, vibrant, and radiated light. He accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. He had immense passion for his family and nature. He was adventurous, often exceeding the limits of what one might expect of someone battling cancer for four years. He was a carpenter and enjoyed building and remodeling things in his home. He also enjoyed going on vacation, exercising, jogging, playing pool, listening to music, and singing karaoke while spending time with his family and friends in his man cave. He was involved in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Luis is survived by his loving wife, Gloria De La Rosa of Vineland New Jersey; daughter, Iliana Garcia; son, Daniel Luis Garcia; stepchildren, Robert, Ferdinand, Walesca; grandchildren, Yadiel, Masen, Juni, Ariana and Ezyrah; sisters, Gloria Garcia (Benjamin Gonzalez), Milagros Quiroz, Isabel Garcia, Marta Alvarado (Wilberto Alvarado) & Margarita Rivera (Jorge Rivera); brothers, Miguel Garcia, Ruben Garcia (Nilda Garcia), and Martin Garcia (Rosa Garcia).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Garcia & Guillermina Rivera; brothers, Antonio Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Benjamin Garcia; and sister Ramonita Garcia.
When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for his family and friends. His departure leaves a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions to our memorial fund in lieu of flowers and contribute by sharing memories of our beloved Luis on our memorial website.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to DeMarco - Luisi Funeral Home, Angelic Care Hospice Nurse Jessica Ciambrone, and all those friends & family who have supported us through this difficult time.
