Pop has always been, and will always be, one of the most special humans I ever had the opportunity to call my “family”.
Funny and smart, tough and loving, you never had to guess what he was thinking-he would gladly share his thoughts! I will miss our chats. I will miss your paintings. I will miss your stories. My heart is broken. But I know you are with Ro, dancing to wonderful music and drinking a nice wine. And planning a lovely garden in Heaven!
Rest easy now, you have earned your halo and wings.

I worked with Joe at Maplewood 36 years ago. Ron and I had just returned from our Honeymoon and Tommy Italiano hosted a Maplewood party where we got to talk to Joe and Rose to then, become fast friends. Over the years we enjoyed many amazing dinners and great times .
So Blessed to have been embraced by their kindness, love of gardening, music, family and the blessing continues through our friendship with Allison, Steve and their family. Pop has left an indelible mark on our lives and his spirit continues through all of his family. His Pride in all of you was evident . We offer our Sincerest condolences and love to you all.

Joe was a literal good neighbor to me and my children as they grew up next door to him and my beloved best friend, Rosemary. He exemplified everything a good husband and father should be.
I especially remember how loving patient and caring he was to Rosemary , during her final illness. He and "Ro" were a great example of what Christian marriage should be.
The circle is round ,so they say.
Joe was blessed with an amazing daughter , my Godchild Alison,
who, in the end, could not have done more for her dear " Pop."

God looked around the garden and found an empty space, He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, God's garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He saw the roads were getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyes and whispered. "Peace Be Thine". It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
May you rest in peace POPs, we will always love you.

My sincere condolences to Alison, AJ, Vincent, Steve, and everyone who knew and loved Pops. May all your memories bring you joy. It has been almost 30 years since I first met Pops through Alison and felt welcomed into the family immediately and remember all the wonderful meals, holidays and cookouts spent with everyone. I enjoyed seeing all the wonderful paintings posted by his proud daughter Alison since I've been away from NJ these last few years.

Alison my sincere condolences to you and your family. You took good care of him. My one memory of your dad was his organic garden. Plus his watering system he had going. He loved working in his yard. Now he is reunited with your mom.
