Obituary of Michael A Canino

Michael Canino, 82, of Vineland, passed away late Saturday evening, May 11, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center. Born in Vineland, he was the son of the late John Canino and Bessie (Nitche) Canino. Raised in Vineland, Michael was a student of Sacred Heart School. He married Betty Jane Ferretti and they lived in Vineland their entire time together. Michael was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.

He enjoyed going hunting, flying model airplanes, riding his motorcycle, and the company of his four-legged friend, Nino. He absolutely loved spending time with his grandkids and he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Michael is survived by his wife, Betty Canino; son and daughters, Michael J. Canino (Sherry) of Pittsgrove, Michele Powelczyk (John), of Vineland, and Melissa Canino (Robert); his grandchildren, Michael Canino Jr., Christine Canino, Shjon Powelczyk and Anthony Powelczyk; his brother, Bruce Canino of Vineland and sister, Janet Canino of Vineland.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Rose of Lima Church, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 104 Catawba Avenue, Newfield, NJ 08344 from 10am to 11am, followed by a funeral liturgy at 11am. Inurnment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations in Michael's memory be made to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter or Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
