Obituary of Josue M Martinez

Josué M. Martinez, (Cheo to his friends), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, surrounded by his family at home in Millville, NJ after a long battle against cancer. Josué was born on October 27, 1951 in Humacao, PR to Marina Martinez, where he lived and went to school until moving to New Jersey in the 1970's where he joined the NJ Army National Guard and retired after 20 years of service. He retired from his most recent job as a truck driver due to his disability and enjoyed fishing and talking with friends and family. Josué leaves behind his companion/wife of 31 years, Kathleen Brown, their two daughters, Marina and Aiyanna, two grandsons, Allen and Carter. Josué also leaves behind three sons, Josué, Junior, and Carlos in New Jersey, his mother Marina of Puerto Rico, two sisters, Isabel in New York and Sonia in Puerto Rico, four brothers, Luisito, Miguelito, and Pito in Puerto Rico and Pelao in New Jersey, and many nieces/nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 5:30pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you take the time and go fishing.
