Owner/Operator McMahan's Pre-School
Cora F. McMahan (Wellman) passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 after a long illness. Cora was one of 10 children born to George and Emily Wellman on
March 9, 1918.
She was the owner/operator of Aunt Cora's Daycare later to become McMahan's Pre-School for over 40 years. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Thomas E. McMahan, son, Thomas G. McMahan, daughter-in-law, Kay McMahan and grandson, T. Arthur McMahan, four brothers, Henry, Walter, Russell and George Davis and two sisters, Ethel Fresne and Ada Fox, sister-in-law, Barbara Davis, and brother-in-law John Zimmerman.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penelope (Gene) Burris, seven grandchildren, Susanne (Mark) Lombardo, Karen McMahan, Bob (Jen) Burris, Sandy (Chris) Owens, Lisa (Ed) Unchis, Bill (Carrie) Burris and Kim Burris, two brothers, Maurice (Minnie) Davis and William Davis, Sr., one sister, N. Emma Zimmerman,14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 19th at 11:00am at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Donations in Cora's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102 Philadelphia, Pa. 19106.
