Q: What will you never forget about Nicholas?
A: Oh my Nicholas. I’ve always called home Nicholas, he always said I’m the only one that ever called him that.
Nicholas was a good boy, always cooking and learning something new. He was always laid back. I’ll never forget him sleeping on my couch because he partied to hard. I’ll never forget home learning Brazilian for his then Gf and now wife. I’ll never forget his laugh or the time he ate raw meat lol. I’ll never forget him and his 20 hour smoked brisket! I’ll never forget me yelling at him for getting carried away. I’ll never forget how devoted he was to living life to the fullest and trying new thing. Never caring about other’s opinions. I’ll never forget his kind and gentle soul.

Q: How would you describe Nicholas to someone who had never met them?
A: Nick was a long time friend, more like family to myself and my family. However, it didn’t matter when you met him, the kind of person that he was, was one in a million. His love for his friends and family go above and beyond that of a normal person. Nick was true to the very core of his soul. He is the definition of giving someone the shirt off his back, even for somebody he may have just met. His impact, no matter if you knew him for many years, or if you knew him for a few weeks, his presence, character, everything about him would make it seem as if you knew him for a lifetime. I pray for the family and friends that he has positively impacted, and I am honored to have met him and to call him a friend, and a brother.

My deepest and sincere sympathy goes out to Ruth and the family. Ruth, everyone knows your family (including your furbabies) are your pride and joy. I know losing Nick is unfathomable and leaves you lost. But, I pray that GOD gives you strength now and going forward.
Love,
Quiana Jackson

Nick was one of my students when I taught high school. I remember him so fondly because he just had the biggest heart. His manners were exceptional for a young man his age. He was always kind, positive and polite. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I pray for comfort for you all. The world is a little less bright without him in it.
