Roger Scott Justis, 81, of Vineland, NJ, passed away on October 5th, 2024, after a brief illness.
Roger was born March 16, 1943 to Rogers and Lillian (nee Carroll) Justis of Millville, NJ. He graduated from Millville High School in 1961.
After graduating, Roger became a salesman and vendor for multiple stores in the tri-state area, working for Ehlers Spices, Frito Lay, and Haddon House, and sold Archway Cookies, Lance Crackers, and Wise Potato Chips as an independent distributor.
In his retirement, he worked security at the Millville Motorsports Park, delivered prescriptions for Pitman Pharmacy and Main Pharmacy, and delivered car parts for Rossi Honda for 12 years.
Roger was a member of the Millville Elks #580, coached little league and soccer in Millville, was President of the Vineland High School Marching Band-Aides from 2004-2007, was active in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 36 from 2000-2007, volunteered at the Levoy Theater since 2012, the Ocean City Music Pier Summer Concert Series since 2017, and was a past volunteer at the Landis Theater.
Roger is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara (nee DiEmma); his son, Chad (Stephanie); his sister, Beth Tubertini (Gene); his nephews, Chris and Craig; his niece, Erin, and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He is also survived by his sons, Scott, Rodney, Roger "Spike" Jr, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, October 11th at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland, NJ. Visitation will be from 10am to11am with a memorial service to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Levoy Theater Preservation Society, PO Box 678, Millville, NJ 08332. Burial will be private.
