Edward "Eddie" Charles "Coop" Cooper from Paterson, NJ comfortably fell deep asleep at the Veterans Home in Vineland, NJ on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was born September 21, 1938, and loved living his best life in Northern NJ with his mother, his siblings, and great friends.
"Coop" served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineman on submarines and patrol boats from 1956 - 1960. He was an avid golf enthusiast which led him through a career as a caddy, to an amateur Golf Pro competing in various tournaments up and down the east coast, to a caddy master. He was found on the greens at North Jersey Country Club in Wayne, Panther Valley in Allamuchy, Packanack Lake in Wayne, and Preakness Hills Country Club in Wayne.
Edward also worked for B&G Foods, Inc. in Roseland, NJ as a head cook. After retirement, his days were spent back on the golf course: golfing, carrying bags as a caddy, giving golf lessons, and creating golf clubs.
"Coop" was an avid LA Laker, LA Rams, LA Dodgers and NY METS fan and could be heard cheering and screaming at the TV during every sports season!
He is survived by his children, Edward Cooper, Monica (Cooper) Wolan, David Cooper, and Debbie (Cooper) Faber. He is also survived by his sister, Ellen (Cooper) Woloszynek and brother-in-law John Woloszynek and many beloved nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Edward was predeceased by his sons, Michael John Cooper and Marty Cooper.

He laughed, he lived, - he did it all his way.
