Obituary of John G MacNeill
John Grover MacNeill, 71, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Vineland, NJ.
Born on April 18, 1953, John lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for travel, and a long-standing career at Dun-Rite Sand and Gravel. John's career spanned 38 years at Dun-Rite Sand and Gravel, where he dedicated his skills until his retirement in 2023. His work ethic and commitment were well-known among his colleagues and friends.
A man of faith, John was an active member of the Parish of the Holy Cross. His faith played a significant role in his life, guiding him through many of life's challenges and joys. John's zest for life was evident in his love for travel, with Key West being a favorite destination. He cherished the moments spent with his family, whether it was his annual birthday outings with the guys or playful times in the pool with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Mary (Pierpont) MacNeill; children, Mary Katherine (Giuseppe) Dionisi, Julia Grace (David) Wilson, John Victor (Holly) MacNeill, and Vincent Pierpont (Catherine) MacNeill; daughter-in-law, Tara Brunozzi; grandchildren, Abigail, Giuliana, David, Carolina, Mikayla, Vincenzo, Victoria, Emerson, Johnny, Graycen, Eleanor, Rosie, Crew, and Lex; sister, Marianne (Clark) Kenyon; and in-laws, Susan (Pierpont) Malinoski, Donna (Pierpont) Moore, John (Dianne) Pierpont, James (Ronda) Pierpont, and D. Clark (Gail) Pierpont. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen MacNeill; in-laws, Donald and Tina Pierpont; and brother, Brian MacNeill.
The visitation will be held at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm and again on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11am at St. Mary's Church, 732 Morton Ave., Bridgeton. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bridgeton.
