Obituary of James W. Murray

James W Murray, age 75, passed away Saturday November the 16th at the Veterans home of Vineland NJ.
James was born in Dover, NJ on April 3rd, 1949. At age 18, James was drafted to the Army and served in the Vietnam war from 1969-1971. He spent another 4 years in the USAR receiving an Honorable discharge on 15, January 1975. While working at Shop Rite in Vineland, James met his devoted wife Diana Murray (Pagliughi). They were married April 14, 1973, and spent 51 years together.
James worked for Scott Paper (Fibertech) in Landisville, NJ for 18 years. He worked for Charles Molinelli Trucking Co. until his retirement in 2016. James enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, bowling, camping and working in his backyard. He loved to dance and often attended oldies dances with his wife Diana. He would dance with the nurses and the CNAs at the Veterans’ home where he was well loved. James was always willing to help and often put his family and friends’ needs before his own.
Survivors include his wife Diana Murray (Pagliughi) of 51 years. Daughters, Jaime Bates (Murray) of Vineland and Paula (Charles) Wiel of Seaville, NJ; grandchildren, Jaryd Bates, Shayne Bates, Joel Brooks, Hailey Brooks and Luke Brooks; his nephew, Bobby Hughes; who was like a son, brother, Richard Murray (Valerie); sisters, Susan Schooley (Fran) and Patti Murray; many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday December 4th, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:30am followed by a service at 11:30am at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. James will receive military honors for his dedicated service to the United States Army.
