Obituary of Charles D. Riley

Charles D. Riley, lifelong resident of Millville, NJ, passed away on November 27, 2024 at the New Jersey Veterans Home in Vineland, NJ.

Dave graduated Millville High School in 1948 and after serving his country during the Korean War, he started his 40+ year career at Wheaton Glass in Millville. Dave was a long-time active member of the 4th Methodist Church and served as an usher, a trustee and helped on several committees as well as volunteering at the 1st Methodist Church's Food Closet. He was a former member of the Millville Zoning Board, the North Italy Club in Vineland's Dance Group, the American Legion Nabb-Leslie Post #82, AARP and was the past president of the Millville Old Timers.

Dave enjoyed woodworking, antiquing, collecting paper weights and sightseeing bus trips.

Dave was predeceased by wife, Betty Babbitt and his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Riley; sister, Lois Riley and brother, Robert Riley.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Riley and Peggy Riley; sister-in-law, Mable Babbitt and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday December 5, 2024, from 11:00am until 12:00pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ.
