Obituary of Kathy Louise Bakos

Kathy Louise (Witkowski) Bakos passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born on June 15, 1949. She was raised in Trenton, NJ and graduated from Trenton Central High School. She resided in Millville, NJ with her devoted husband of 52 years, Donald, where she raised her loving daughters Jennifer and Jaime. The pride and joys of her life were her four granddaughters Hannah, Haley, Julia and Jemma.

Kathy was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting in her home for many years. She was an avid hobbyist which included cross-stitching, making and collecting life-like dolls, collecting lighthouses, seashells and various figurines.

Kathy enjoyed taking road trips with her husband, watching soap operas and classic westerns, taking walks especially on the beach and in the snow, crabbing, and spending time with her family. She was known for her crabs and spaghetti as well as her delicious pizzelles. She was also an avid Phillies fan.

Kathy will forever be missed by her husband, Donald Bakos of Millville, NJ; her daughters, Jennifer Young of Vineland, NJ and Jaime (Giuseppe) Gaetano of Franklinville, NJ; her granddaughters, Hannah and Haley Tamagni of Vineland, NJ, Julia and Jemma Gaetano of Franklinville, NJ; her sister, Donna (Dennis) Schneider of Rio Rancho, NM; her sister, Nancy Campi of Trenton, NJ; her aunt, Janet Klotz of Bordentown, NJ as well as her several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in peace by her parents Edmund and Katherine Witkowski, her sister Deborah Witkowski and her son-in-law Lt. Keith Young.

Friends and family will be received on Friday January 10, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will follow at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Trench Rd. Bridgeton. NJ.
