Samuel M. Givler, 84 of Vineland died Tuesday, April 2, 2012 at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Vinemont, Pennsylvania, he had lived in the Vineland area for the past 50 years. Samuel was a plant manager of Mays Landing Sand and Gravel for over 30 years and also worked for Atlantic Bearing and Drive and American Dredging Co. He served in the Merchant Marines, during WWII. Samuel enjoyed woodworking and listening to Country Western Music. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 12 years in the Bridgeton area and was honored by the United States Congress for his service. He is survived by: His wife of 63 years, Elsie (Wagner) Givler of Vineland 2 sons: Samuel Givler and wife Barbara Gary Givler and wife JoAnna 1 daughter: Connie Lock and husband Dan Daughter-in-law: Susan Saul Grandchildren: Stacie Chiappini and husband Sean Stephanie Givler, Melissa Genereux, Gabriel Givler and wife Tamara, Seth Givler and wife Ro, Sammy Givler, Dale Givler and wife Teresa, Timmy Givler Great grandchildren: Hannah, Julian, Mathew, Rhyanah, Justice, Seth, Dale, Damien, Dominick and Mikel 1 sister: Ester Erwin, 1 brother: Cleveland Kinot and wife Francis Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 4pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Saturday at the funeral home from 2pm to 4pm. Family requests no flowers and donations can be made to SJH HospiceCare, P.O. Box 160 Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
