Gregory J. Procopio, 62, of Egg Harbor Township passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born in Montauro, Italy to Maria and the late John Procopio. Greg was a resident of Vineland most of his life. He graduated from Vineland High School Class of 1971. Greg worked at Sands Casino for 25 years and most recently at Borgata Casino for 6 years. Greg was an avid gardener and was especially proud of his fig trees. He enjoyed fishing and going to the race track. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his "fun" sense of humor, making everyone laugh and always being the life of the party. Greg is survived by his wife Stephanie, his son Gregory Jr., his mother Maria, his sister Pina DiGiorgio, his brothers, Frank, Leon (Sandy), Anthony (Kathy), Joe (Donna) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his father, Greg was predeceased by his sister Rosa Cassisi, brother Johnny, brother-in-law Frank DiGiorgio, and sister-in-law Barbara Procopio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Greg's viewing and funeral mass on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland, NJ. There will be a viewing from 9 AM to 11 AM with a funeral mass to follow. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Greg's memory to Atlanticare Hospice, 6550 Delilah Road, Building 300, Suite 210, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
