Obituary of Joseph J Donato

Donato, Joseph J., passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 11 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was raised in Northeast Philadelphia. He attended LaSalle High School and graduated from Rutgers University with a science degree in agriculture. Joe served as a security MP in the Army for 2 years before moving to Landisville, NJ in 1957. He was associated with Donato Brothers Farm before becoming an agent with Prudential Insurance Company for 28 years. His happiest times were enjoying his family, playing golf, pinochle, cousins camping, his Woodstown Moose buddies, his breakfast friends, and dancing to Motown and country western music. He is predeceased by his parents, Caesar and Ida (Bernardini) Donato. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernice nee DeLaurentis Donato of 57 years, his brother, Ron Donato, his loving sons, Joseph, John and wife Ann Margaret, Michael and wife Jennifer Donato and daughter, Anne Donato and her fiance David Kissinger. Joe also has 7 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Michael, Nick and Dan Donato, Seth Crossley, Brianna Crossley, Luca and Paolo and great granddaughter, Aria Donato. A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Monday at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m with a 12 noon service.
