Miguel Malave- Roman "Don Kito" 102 of Vineland, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Lincoln Specialty Care Center, Vineland. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico he came to the United States in 1961.
He was a farm worker for 35 years and was last employed at Levin Farms. He was a hardworking man of simple taste who was well known for raising chickens, gardening, cooking, and surrounding himself with family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Aurelia Sotomayor and a daughter, Natividad Gonzalez and spouse. Miguel is survived by 3 children: Raul Marrero and Bolivar Marrero and spouse all from Tampa, FL., Rigoberto Marrero and spouse from Deptford, NJ., Left behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and good friends that loved and supported him through the years. We celebrate your life Kito; you had a kind and giving heart. There are no words that can express how much you will be missed. To know you was to love you.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 noon at Jehovah's Witnesses Vineland Kingdom Hall, 225 E. Oak Rd., Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday at the hall from 10am to 12noon. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
