Ruth Joan Pennington, 67 of Vineland, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Commodore, Pa., and moved to Vineland in 1965. She was employed by Comar Glass Company as a packer for over 30 years. In her earlier years, she worked for Meteor Glass Company in Vineland. Ruth enjoyed reading, making crafts and going shopping, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends. She is predeceased by 3 brothers, Delbert and Robert "Bob" Pennington and Thomas Somerville. Survived by: 4 sisters: Peggy Sanders of Vineland Delores Tirelli of Vineland Betty (Howard) Fleeger of Pa. Nancy Pennington of Vineland 2 brothers: Harry Pennington of Va. William "Bill" Pennington of Vineland Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at 3pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Family and friends will be received on Friday afternoon from 2pm to 3pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
