Carmen M. Monroig, 87 of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at home. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Carmen had worked for DeRossi and Son Clothing Co., for 30 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and having close friends around her including her dear neighbors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her son and daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her extended family. Carmen is predeceased by 2 sisters, Blanca Orama and Sara Ramirez and 1 brother, Anibal Medina. She is survived by: Her son: Ramon Medina Monroig and wife Aurea 2 grandsons: Christian and his companion Yadira Christopher and his companion Johanny 3 great grandchildren: Gabriel, Destiny and Deyalith 2 sisters: Nery Lopez and Felicita Orama 1 brother: German Medina A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Vineland. Carmen will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Saturday morning at the church from 9am to 9:45am.
