Obituary of Catherine M. Smith

Catherine (Alford) Smith, age 50, passed away suddenly at Inspira Medical Center on February 8th, 2014. Born in Camden, she attended Vineland High School, graduating in 1981. Cathy worked at Prudential Insurance Company for a number of years and later worked at Landis Shoprite in Vineland where she still has many close friends. She enjoyed animals and spending time with her family. Cathy was predeceased by her sisters, Karen and Donna Lynn Alford. She is survived by her husband, Leonard of Vineland; daughter, Rachael of Vineland; son, Leonard II of Landisville; mother and father, Gerald and Marion (Ruskin) Alford of Vineland; sister, Donna Lee of Townsend, DE; brother, Patrick Davis of Pensacola, FL, and brother-in-law and nephew, David Sr. and David Jr. of Malaga. She is also survived by her aunt, Helen Mitchell (Harry) of Pitman; aunt, Joan Alford of Rio Grande; aunt, Isabella Alford of Marmora and cousin, Doug Mitchell (Patricia) of Marmora. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13th at 10am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening, February 12th from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 9am to 10am at the funeral home.
