Benedicta Berrios Montanez, 85, of Bloomfield, NJ and formerly of Vineland, died Friday, February 21, 2014.
She was born to the late Elvira Montanez and Santos Berrios on Jan. 5, 1929, in Cayey, PR. Her life was spent between Cayey, Puerto Rico, Vineland and Bloomfield, New Jersey.
She was an active member of various church institutions throughout a very fervent and religious life. As a humble and professional seamstress she was also known for her love for music, family and friends.
Benedicta is survived by one sister, Francisca Berrios and four children; Benilda, Cruz, Irma and Leonor and also her son-in-law Junior. She also is survived by 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Benedicta will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
