Ronald G. Suppa, 73 of Vineland passed away June 17, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Bridgeton, NJ to Louis and Leona Suppa, Ron was a lifelong resident of the Cumberland County area. Ron was a local certified public accountant for 50 years. He started his accounting career working for the State of NJ. Later, he was employed by Capaldi & Schalick Accounting Firm for ten years before becoming self-employed. Ron worked with many local businesses including many of the area churches. He was the in house accountant for Pedroni Fuel from 1978-2013. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, AICPA, NJSCPA, North Italy Club and Italian American Civic Club. As a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Ron served as a Eucheristic Minister and member of the finance committee. He was honored by the Diocese of Camden for his many years of service. Ron also served in the U.S. Army Reserves and obtained the rank of 1st Lt. before his honorable discharge. Ron was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School, Bridgeton; Bridgeton Regional H.S., Class of 1958; Rider College (1962) where he was president of Epsilon Rho Chapter Theti Chi from 1961-1962 and Widner University where he obtained a Masters Degree in Taxation. Ron enjoyed traveling, playing golf and Flyers Hockey. He was a certified scuba diver and horse racing enthusiast. As a devoted family man, he hosted crab parties at his pool, many holiday gatherings and carried on the family tradition of playing Santa Claus at the family Christmas party. Ron will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor and warm smile. All who knew him will forever be blessed for having known him. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Leona (Williams) Suppa, Ron is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Carol (Yetko) of Vineland, one son Stephen Suppa and wife Tara, two daughters Susan and husband Ed Wolkowicz and Christine Vitiello. Proud grandfather to Nicole Wolkowicz and Daniel Suppa. He leaves behind two brothers, Paul (Lynn) Suppa and Michael (Carol) Suppa and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Friends will be received on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 5-9pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 10am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church, Minotola. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum in Newfield.
