Obituary of Alice Mae Consalo

Alice Mae Frasnelli DiMatteo Consalo passed away peacefully on August 14th at home with family and friends by her side. She was born in Vineland to Mildred (Scaglia) and Anthony Frasnelli, Jr. on July 24, 1934. After graduating from Vineland High School in 1953 and Pierce College in Philadelphia, Alice worked at Bullock Chevrolet and Doerr Glass in Vineland. She was very active in the PTA and Junior Woman's Club for many years. She loved the limelight, modeling for many local shops and Michael's Hair Salon of NYC in the 70's and 80's. After raising her family she worked in the office of the Administrator of Newcomb Hospital while continuing her education earning her RN in 1975. She worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Newcomb Hospital for many years and later as a teacher of Nurse's Aides at Cumberland County Vo Tech. Alice loved to travel and entertain her friends and family. But she most enjoyed and adored her Grandchildren. She recently had a wonderful time celebrating her 80th Birthday with family and friends and enjoyed a Birthday luncheon with her lifelong girlfriends Lettie, Sara and Annie. Alice is survived by her daughter, Lori DiMatteo-Fiocchi (Hans Lampart); son, Jeffrey DiMatteo (Beverly); grandchildren, Sammy Fiocchi, Jr., Nicholas Fiocchi, Jonathan Lampart, Tammie Biagi (Nick), Dana DiMatteo, Jaime DiMatteo and her great grandchildren, Sammy Fiocchi III and Ava, Liliana and Dante Biagi; also her stepchildren, Janet Sepers (Louie), Arlene Smith and Vincent (Skipper) Consalo (Denise) and their children. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Barbara Frasnelli, son-in-law, Sam Fiocchi Sr., her dear friend, Pete Romano who has faithfully been by her side for 10 years and her devoted caretaker of two years, Mawata Kamara. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Consalo; her loving stepfather, George Krimm; her stepmother, Rose Frasnelli; and her brothers, whom she adored, Anthony Frasnelli, III and Joseph Patch. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20th at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave, Vineland. Alice will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 19th from 6 – 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45am. Donations may be made to Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Alice's name.
