Ethel M. (Lafferty) Raven, age 91, of Vineland, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones at Inspira Medical Center. Born in Vineland to the late Claude E. and Tabitha (Connolly) Lafferty, Ethel was a lifelong resident of the Vineland and Newfield areas.
Prior to retirement, she worked as a supervisor in the Graduating Department at Lurex Glass for over 30 years. She enjoyed her friends and family, doing counted cross-stitch and watching the Phillies, Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband, David T. Raven, her brothers, Tom and Ernie and her sister, Vera.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Sharon Gates (Harry Gates) of Murrells Inlet, SC, her sister, Blanche VanderLas (Cal VanderLas) of Bonney Lake, WA, grandchildren, Roxanne, Robbie, DJ and Tommy as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland with Pastor Susan Flicker officiating. Ethel will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield. Family and friends will be received on Saturday at the funeral home from 9am to 11am.
