Rita (Barbagli) Masciarella, 76 of Petersburg, NJ and formerly of Vineland, went peacefully Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ, surrounded by her family. Born in Buena, NJ, she was a lifelong resident of the South Jersey area and attended Vineland Public Schools. With her late husband James, they owned and operated The Dilido Motel in Wildwood Crest, NJ from 1959 to 1995. She also worked for Kimble Glass in Vineland. Rita enjoyed cooking, bingo, cross stitching, traveling, and playing cards. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and loved being with her four brothers. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Virginia (Fiore) Barbagli, her husband, James Masciarella and her niece, Dawn Barbagli. Survived by: 1 daughter: Pier DeRiggi and companion Kevin Steward of Petersburg, NJ 3 grandchildren: Nico DeRiggi, Brendan and Joseph Steward all of Petersburg, NJ 4 brothers: Sam and Ralph Barbagli both of Vineland Frank Barbagli of Upper Deerfield Ron Barbagli of Pine Hill, NJ Her cat Amy and dog Kati 2 aunts: Helen Aulffo and Dolores Lanzi both of Vineland Many nieces and Nephews A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am in Christ The Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, Vineland. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Thursday at the church from 9am to 10:15am. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, 23 Frances Drive Petersburg, NJ 08270. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
