Obituary of Sara R Conahan

Sara R. (Chinnici) Conahan, 87 of Atlantic City, NJ and formerly of Vineland, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Born in New York, she was a resident of Vineland since 1926. She was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1944 and a graduate of Atlantic City Hospital Nursing program. Sara was a Registered Nurse and worked at Newcomb Medical Center, Vineland for over 25 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Vineland and Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Atlantic City, Women of the Moose, and Foster Grandparent program in Atlantic City. Sara enjoyed walking, knitting, traveling, taking photographs, and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She is predeceased by her husband James Conahan, her parents, Samuel and Lena (Cappello) Chinnici, two daughters, Geraldine Johnson and Kathleen Conahan, three brothers, George, Anthony, and Bart Chinnici, one sister, Vincenzina Pacitto. Survived by: Two daughters: Margaret "Peggy" Rose Leibrock & husband William of Vineland Karen Gambino of Atlantic City Four grandchildren: James DiNunzio and wife Lisa of Vineland Justine Johnson of Atlantic City Victoria R. Leibrock of Millville Billy Conahan of New York One great grandchild: Skye Rose Leibrock of Vineland A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30am at Christ The Good Shephard Parish, St. Isidore's Church, Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9am to 10:15am at the CHURCH.
