Obituary of Richard T. Allonardo

Richard T. Allonardo, Sr. 77, of Vineland, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday, March 29, 2015. Born in Vineland, Richard grew up in the Township of Franklin. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1957 and married his high school sweetheart, Lucy Jane in 1958. He worked at the family business of Frank Allonardo Garage and in 1968 became partners with his brothers in the Allonardo Brothers Garage. Richard was a fun-loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, going on many vacations to Walt Disney World and going to the many sporting games for his grandkids and great-grandkids as well as fishing off of his boat. Richard was predeceased by his parents; Frank Sr and Angelina Allonardo, step-mother Rose, a sister, Bernice Allonardo, two brothers; Frank Allonardo Jr and Ronald Allonardo, one sister-in-law, Helen Allonardo. Richard will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Lucy Jane (Reale) Allonardo, one daughter, Angela Barbagli and husband Frank, two sons; Richard Allonardo, Jr. and wife Donna, and Kevin Allonardo and wife Jennifer; 7 grandchildren; Christina Hampton and husband Joe, Frank Barbagli, Jr and wife Ashleigh, Andrew Allonardo, Ally Cruz and husband Caleb, Richard Allonardo, III, Ariel Allonardo, and Alec Allonardo; 2 great-grandsons; Ryan and Lucas Hampton; two sisters-in-law; Phyllis Rambone and Linda Allonardo, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Richard will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
