Obituary of Johnathan M. Rivera
Please share a memory of Johnathan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Johnathan Michael Rivera, 26, was called to be with the Lord unexpectedly on May 21, 2015. He was born and raised in Vineland, New Jersey where he attended Sacred Heart School and Vineland High School. His senior year was spent in Wisconsin where he was a graduate of Two Rivers High School, Class of 2007. He was employed as a supervisor at National Refrigerant.
Johnathan was a dedicated father, a loving son and brother, a caring grandson and Uncle, a warm-hearted cousin and nephew, and a faithful friend who believed in living life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman who spent hours on the water reeling in any kind of fish imaginable. On the shore or in his kayak, the water brought him peace and tranquility. His purist joy came from spending time with his precious 3yr old daughter. Whether having a tea party or teaching her salsa, he was at his happiest when he was with his princess.
Johnathan had the ability to light up the room with his infectious smile. His charismatic personality and philosophy on life was truly contagious. He made everyone around him happier by being in his presence. He touched many, many lives bringing laughter and joy to all who knew and loved him.
Johnathan was preceded in death by his mother, Wendy (Lopez) Rivera and his paternal grandparents, Miguelina Rivera-Martinez and Miguel Cruz.
He is survived by his daughter Milana Wendy Rivera, his father Miguel "George" Rivera Sr. and stepmother Angela Glover, his brother Miguel Rivera Jr., his sister Chasity Rivera, his nephew Dominic Rivera, maternal grandparents William and Mildred Lopez, William and Ledy Ocasio, and a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his companion, Alexcia Gonzalez.
And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelations 24:4
