Obituary of Ida Carli DiBrigida

Ida Carli DiBrigida, 96, a lifelong resident of Vineland passed away Wednesday evening May 27, 2015 after a short illness at the Bishop McCarthy Residence. Ida was the daughter of the late Mario and Josephine Carli and the wife of the late Nicholas DiBrigida. She is predeceased by her brothers Santo [wife Eleanor], Pio and Louie [wife Marie] and sister Lena [husband John]. She worked as a bookkeeper until she was 90 years old, beginning in 1935 for Dane Barse at Top O' Mart Clothing and later for Perry Barse as office manager at Model Coat Company. She last worked for John Gallo at Little John's Garage on Wheat Road. Ida was very active in the Saint Francis of Assisi Church/Divine Mercy Parish serving on the parish council and as a member of the church choir. She attended Sacred Heart Grade and High Schools. She is survived by her son Peter Bonasto of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughter Beverly Bonasto (Mark Privito) of Blackwood, NJ, grandson Michael Matalucci, niece Barbara Carli, sister-in-law Mary Lou Carli and close friend Karen Cliff all of Vineland and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ida lived a long and happy life with her loving husband Nick, family and many close friends in Vineland. We know Nicky has been waiting for her for many years now and they will once again be able to call each other "Honey" and "Dolly". Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 9:00am to 10:45am at the Divine Mercy Parish, Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 23 W. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ where her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Vineland.
