Obituary of Robert E Sampson, Jr.

Robert Edwin Sampson Jr., 64, of Millville, NJ, was called to his heavenly home on July 27, 2015. Robert was born in Quincy, Mass. to Rev. Robert and Maxine E. Sampson Sr. on November 4, 1950. He went to high school at Waverly Senior High School in Waverly, NY and graduated in 1968. He was the pioneer class of Mt. Vernon Nazarene College and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Eastern Nazarene College and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Boston University. He worked as a Vice President of Government Affairs for Interstate Realty Management Company for 34 years. He was a member of National Affordable Housing Management Association and founding past President of the New Jersey AHMA. He was a Certified Property Manager and National Assisted Housing Professional-Executive. He and his wife, Sharon, own and operated Real Property Technology Group, LLC for 23 years and he and his son, Robert III, own and operated LSC Golf Carts, LLC for 4 years. Robert was an ambitious man that was always looking for the next project to work on; but his family came first. He was always there ready to help with any problem and ALWAYS had a solution or plan of action. He was rarely, if ever, left speechless. His vocabulary was extraordinary and intimidating at times, but he would often follow with a witty one-liner that could put anyone at ease. He loved his family very much; especially his 3 grandchildren and 3 grand-pugs. When he wasn't working he enjoyed naps with his grand-pugs and spent many weekends, including his last, camping with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon S. (Smith), of 40 years, son, Robert E. Sampson III, daughter, Lori Renee (Chuck) Sturgis, triplet grandchildren, Julianna, Charles and Lilianna, all residents of Millville, NJ, sister, Sandra K. (Eric) Hardy of London, Ontario, brother D. Timothy (Juanita) Sampson of Bonsall, CA, mother-in-law, Sue Smith, brother-in-laws, Robert Smith, Howard Smith, Frank Smith, Larry (Priscilla) Smith, sister-in-laws, Debra Gibson, Connie (John) Tiptjew and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. Robert and Maxine (Edwards) Sampson, father-in-law, James V. Smith and brother-in-law, Charles Smith. Visitation will be held at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 9-11 a.m. with service beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jonathan Merki of the Millville Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Millville, NJ.
