Obituary of John H. Bailey

John H Bailey Jr, born December 27, 1931 in Charlotte, NC, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2015 while with loved ones. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Carolyn Purnell and moved to NJ in 1971 where he continued to work in the trade as a bricklayer. He taught many the skill of masonry work, and touched many lives with this art. John attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist church in Pleasantville, NJ where he sang on the male choir. He also attended Faith Bible church in Vineland, NJ. He had a hobby of working on antique cars, and attending antique car shows with his grandsons. He was predeceased by his parents; John H Bailey Sr, and Voydia (Nixon) Bailey of Charlotte NC., brother; Edward Bailey of Pleasantville NJ and daughter; Cynthia Bailey Pascale of Baltimore MD. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Purnell Bailey, 4 children; John Bailey, III of Atlanta GA, Carl Jason Bailey of Vineland NJ, Charlotte Bailey of Vineland NJ, and Amissa Riley of Glassboro, NJ. He also leaves behind 8 siblings; Joe Bailey of Atlanta Ga, Matthew Bailey of Charlotte NC, Lester Bailey of Pleasantville NJ, Arger Lee Bailey of Charlotte, NC., Helen Bonelli of Neptune, NJ, Barbaran Sanders, Pricilla Blakney, Diane Barrier, all of Charlotte NC., 6 grandchildren; Christopher Bailey, Darnell Bailey, Shareda Brown, Dandre Bailey, Donte Bailey, and Nateesha Evans, 8 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:30pm at Faith Bible Church, 3139 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Family and friends will be received on Saturday at the CHURCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
