I am sure the family has many memories of Ms. Hoffman and I hope they bring you a measure of comfort in the coming days. Also, we have the glorious hope of seeing our loved ones again as God has promised. He loved the world so much he gave his only begotten son. John 3:16

I have known Evelyn for the past year, my Grandmother was her roommate. We shared Christmas Dinner together.
Evelyn's biggest smiles were when I brought my little dog Stella, to visit. I always made sure Evelyn got to see Stella, you could see the joy and love in her smile. Sometimes she would call Stella a name, which made me think that she had a dog of her own.
I will never forget the time that I went to visit my Grandmother and I had on jeans with holes in the knees (I was cleaning), Evelyn, who I would say hello and goodnight to, looked at my jeans and asked me what I was wearing and that I should be ashamed of myself. I chuckled under my breath and explained that I was cleaning. She definitely did not approve. I took no offense and realized her motherly ways.
Evelyn was a beautiful woman, I was surprised to learn her age.
My thoughts go out to her children.
Evelyn will be missed.
My deepest condolences,
Katherine
