Roger Kastorsky, 52, of Buena, NJ passed away on October 14, 2015 after a brief illness. Roger is survived by his mother, Josefina; his father, Vladimir; sisters, Regina Miller and Rosana Schreiber; brother-in-law, Michael Schreiber and many family members in Florida, Brasil and Spain. Roger was born in Sao Paulo, Brasil on February 7, 1963. He and his family arrived in the U.S. on February 7, 1968 and lived in Brooklyn, NY. The family moved to Buena in 1972, where he resided for the rest of his life. Roger was a skilled mechanic, welder and master of all trades. Roger was kind to all animals, including his beloved pets. He loved sports, fishing and traveling, which included Europe, Brasil, and Central America. Roger traveled to Costa Rica, North Carolina and Mexico for his fishing adventures. He spent much time in Fortescue, fishing on the Delaware River and still holds the N.J. State record for largest blue fish, 27 lbs., which he caught in 1997. Roger was a quiet man with a big heart, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He will be missed greatly by his loving family and friends. His contagious smile will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 5:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 to 6 PM.
