Obituary of Francisco Alvarez

Francisco Alvarez 73 of Vineland passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico he lived there until the late 60's, moved to New York in the early 70's and moved to Woodbine in the 90's, where he worked at the Woodbine Developmental Center for 10 years until his retirement. Francisco moved to Vineland and was a resident here for the past 10 years. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and playing dominoes with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Manuel Alvarez Mato and his mother, Miguelina Chavalier Alvarez; his siblings, Santiago, Miguel, Fernando, Rigoberto, Gumencindo, Malgarita, Sarah and Luz Alvarez. Francisco is survived by his brother, Anibal Alvarez of Carolina, PR; 2 sisters, Ramona Alvarez of Utuado, PR and Carmen Garcia of Minotola, NJ., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Francisco will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Friday morning from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.»(Do not delete this line. It does not print.
