Obituary of Henry Simonini

Henry "Harry" Simonini of Buena Borough, died on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Harry was the husband of Leona (Cheli) Simonini with whom he shared 61 beautiful years of marriage. Born on Nov. 21, 1925 in Fairview, NJ, he was the son of the late Augusto and Lucia (Bertesina) Simonini. Harry attended Sacred Heart School, Vineland. He served in the US Navy during World War II and achieved the rank of Seaman First Class. Harry worked for Atlantic City Electric rising to the position of Line Supervisor before his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed spending countless hours in his garden, making wine and fishing. Harry loved being with his family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter; Rose Marie Waddle of Vineland, his sons; Richard Simonini and his wife Cathy of Egg Harbor Twp., Larry Simonini and his wife Theresa of Vineland, Harry Simonini and his wife Ilene of Burlington Twp., Gary Simonini and his wife Christa of Vineland, his grandchildren; Andrea Simonini and her fiancé Scott Terry, Carla Yutzy and her husband Jake, Larry, Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Christopher Simonini and Melissa Meehan, Courtney and Sarah Waddle, Gabriella and Gary Simonini, great grandchildren; Lorenzo Yutzy, Rocco Simonini, sister; Amelia Smith of Greensboro, NC, brother-in-law; Joseph Franchetta of Vineland and many nieces and nephews. Harry is predeceased by his brothers; Joseph, John and Anthony and sisters; Jesse Dondero, Rose Biasi and Jenny Franchetta. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church, 504 West Ave, Minotola. Burial will follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Mays Landing. Relatives and Friends will be received on Tuesday morning from 9:00am to 10:15am at the Church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 524 Northwest Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360.
