Obituary of John J. Pustizzi

John J. Pustizzi, 69 of Newfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Juniper Village in Williamstown, NJ. Born in Vineland, he graduated from Delsea Regional High School in Franklin Township, Class of 1965. John was a sheet metal welder for Gerresheimer for 42 years. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local 701 and D C Rod & Gun Club. John helped out his brother on the family farm, C. Pustizzi Farms in Newfield. He loved spending time with his grandsons and enjoyed hunting in Maine, New Jersey and Ohio and wine making. He is predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Margaret (Monteleone) Pustizzi and his brother, Carmello "Sonny" Pustizzi. John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine "Gigi" (Lera) Pustizzi, 2 sons; Ron Pustizzi and his wife Jennifer and Gary Pustizzi (Felicia); 2 grandsons, Austin and Brandon Pustizzi; 3 brothers, Vincent Pustizzi (Carol), Dominick Pustizzi (Arlene) and Albert Pustizzi (Diane); 3 sisters, Josephine Stringari, Theresa Azeglio (John) and Nancy Tobolski and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Rose of Lima Church, 104 Catawba Ave., Newfield, NJ. John will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday morning from 9am to 10:45am at the church.
