Obituary of Andrew M. Kousmine

Andrew Michael Kousmine, age 71, of Vineland, N.J., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2016 after a year-long, courageous battle with cancer. Andy was born in Vineland, NJ, and graduated from Vineland High School in 1963. Andy was married to Kristine (Baran) and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Andy is survived by two sons: Michael and his wife Terra (Biagi), their children, Michael, Jacob, and Dylan; Marc and his wife Melissa (Warren), and their children, Matthew, AJ, and Lexi; 1 daughter, Laura; and brother-in-law Richard. Andy was pre-deceased by his parents, Nadia (Borowitz) and Michael Kousmine. He was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church of Vineland, NJ. Andy and Kris founded AMK Glass in 1976, in their basement, and together successfully grew their company to over 40 employees in two locations. Andy will be forever remembered for the fun times he shared with his family and friends, his love of nature, and his quick witted humor. He had a stellar work ethic, along with his ability to mentor and teach newcomers to the art of glassblowing. Our family will always be grateful to the doctors, nurses, support staff, and friends at Fox Chase Cancer Center for the loving care Andy received during this challenge. Family and friends are invited to his Panikhida on Thursday, June 30 at 5pm followed by a visitation from 6pm to 9pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday July 1st from 9am to 10am at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2211 W. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment will follow at Siloam Cemetery, 555 N Valley Ave., Vineland NJ.
