Gladys Castro 87 of Vineland, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Gladys moved to Vineland in 1960. She worked for Progresso Foods, Venice Maid, B&B Poultry and Vineland Fireworks Company. Gladys enjoyed knitting and crocheting, baking and cooking, and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed singing, listening to music and dancing. She volunteered at PAFA and the Butting Chef Café and was employee of the week several times. Gladys was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Vineland. She was predeceased by her husband, Manuel Castro; 4 brothers, Manuel, Juan, Jesus and Rafael Munoz and 1 sister, Carmella Moyet. She is survived by, 1 son Ramon Castro of Vineland; 4 daughters, Irma Colon, Carmen Rosa (Jim Harrold), Carmen Delia (Salvador Nunez), Blanca (Julio Carrion); 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Luisa Montalvo and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Gladys will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9am to 11am at the funeral home. Memories, thoughts and prayers may be extended to the family by visiting dlfuneral.com.
