Please share a memory of Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Maria (Ferrucci) Giannascoli, 65, of Vineland passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at home with her family. Maria was born on December 15, 1950 and was a lifelong resident of the Vineland area. She spent her early years growing up in Piney Hollow and attended Delsea Regional High School, Class of 1969. She passed, with her husband, Brian Giannascoli and family by her side after a valiant battle with cancer. Maria married Brian Giannascoli in 1982. She spent the first several years of her marriage as a full time Mom to her daughter Yola while running her business "Garden, Grove, West Nursery" with her husband. She later started her own business "A Lady's Touch Landscaping" designing and installing landscapes in collaboration with her family's farm "A Ferrucci & Son Nursery". Family has always been the most important aspect of Maria's life. She was deeply involved with her family's business "A Ferrucci & Son Nursery" for many years. She showed up to all family events as the picture Queen with camera in hand. Capturing special moments on film was her passion. She deeply loved and cared about her brother, sister, cousins, nieces, nephews and it showed in her pictures, thoughtful cards, gifts and the conversations that she had. Caring for her family and pets was her priority in life along with a very active social life filled with friends. Maria loved the beach and she loved to travel. The ocean, sun and sand were her healing escape. Maria traveled with her husband extensively, often with family and friends. She led an involved and varied social life. Maria had a very close group of friends, the "Winers & Diners Club" that she spent quality time with. She enjoyed monthly dinners and excursions with them as well as many neighbors and teaching friends that touched her heart. Her travels brought her to Italy where she reunited with lost relatives, visited family and explored the culture. Maria was so skilled at photography that several of her beautiful pictures from her Italy trip are hanging in the front dining room at the Maplewood III, Vineland. Maria was the life of the party, dancing, enjoying herself and brought a positive perspective of life and survival to everything that she did. She will be missed but never forgotten in the memories of all who loved her. Maria is survived by her husband Brian of 35 years; daughter, Yola; son, Danny; step son, Gregory (YukYoung); grandson, Noah; brother, Anthony (Christine); sister, Annette (Michael) DiGiorgio; mother-in-law, Adeline; sister-in-law Karen (Edward) Giles; brother-in-law David; sister-in-law Denise (Dennis) Link, sister-in-law Lisa (Michael) Spear; god daughters Emari and Alexandra; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday evening, December 11, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Monday morning from 9:30am to 10:15am with a remembrance celebration of Maria's life at 10:30 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland.
