Obituary of Emma Greico

Emma R. Greico of Vineland passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 92 surrounded by her family. Emma was born in Vineland to Giacomo and Della (Bertacchi) Goffredi. She was raised in Downstown and attended both Landisville and Minotola Schools. Emma married the love of her life, Alexander Greico in 1944 and moved to Vineland. She retired from American Sportswear Company where she was a seamstress for 30 years. In her later years, she worked an additional 11 years for the Vineland Public School System as a cafeteria aide. Emma was a lifelong member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and making afghans for her family. Emma was an excellent cook who enjoyed spending time with family and would spend countless hours baking cookies for the holidays and special occasions. Her endless energy and the love she shared will be greatly missed by all her family. Emma is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Alexander, her parents, and siblings, Americo, Eleanor, Vilma, Jake, Liz, Lena, Albert, and Alice. Emma is survived by her only son, Michael and his wife Susan; her sister, Marie Spinelli; her niece, Barbara Panzino, who was like a daughter; three granddaughters, Shannon (Ricky) Beltran, Christine (Rheis) LeBlanc, Sherry (Troy) Tindall; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Tanner, Enzo and Dreston, Shane, Dylan, Dalton, and Tyler. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Theresa and Dave Tamanini, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E Landis Ave., Vineland. Emma will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:45am at the CHURCH.
