Obituary of Tyrone W. Potts

Tyrone Walter Potts, 65, died at his home in Sharon, PA after a lengthy illness on Friday, May 5, 2017. Tyrone, born in Camden, NJ, had long residency in the Mays Landing – Vineland areas of New Jersey. Born to Anne Dunchee Potts and Wallace Fuller; also two sisters and one brother predeceased him.
Tyrone worked various positions at Atlantic City Casino. Upon receiving the position of NJ Bus Operator, he retired in 1997. Tyrone received his CDL training and worked as a Long Haul Truck Driver through North American Truck Co.
Tyrone was ordained a deacon and served at Heavensway Church in Egg Harbor Township from 1978 to 1979. Soon after, he was called to preach gospel.
Surviving Tyrone is wife Cynthia Potts of Fresno, CA; two brothers, Jerry (Janet) Huckabee of Millville, NJ and Joe (Esther) Potts of San Antonio, TX; and one sister, Donna (Chuck) Roger of Placka, FL. Also surviving in remembrance are six sons: Clarence Bailey of Sharon; PA, Tyrone, Jr and Ellis of Philadelphia, PA; Kamen Potts of Williamstown, NJ; Tovine Potts of Buena, NJ; Sinclair Potts of Landisville, NJ; one daughter Miracle Williams of Bridgeton, NJ; eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and an army of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Tyrone will be laid to rest at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Bridgeton. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
