Carmen R. D'Augustine, 79 of Vineland, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Vineland on July 10, 1937 to the late Joseph and Helen (D'Ippolito) D'Augustine, and was a lifelong resident of Vineland.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Joseph D'Augustino; sister, Helen Michaels and son-in-law Fermin Gonzalez.
He is survived by his beloved wife Grace (Montesanto) of 63 years; daughter, Donna Gonzalez of Vineland; son, Carmen R. D'Augustine, II (Tammy) of Vineland; daughter Kathleen D'Augustine (fiancé Jim) of Vineland; daughter Lori Benivegna (William) of Vineland; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Carmen was a volunteer fireman and served in the National Guard. He worked for the Painter's Union from 1954 until going into business for himself in 1975. He was an excellent craftsman and teacher of painting and wallpaper hanging. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and family.
Carmen was a loving husband and father who always worked hard and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
