Obituary of Lawrence E. Ferrari

Lawrence E. Ferrari Sr., 83, of East Vineland, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2017 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Larry was born and raised in East Vineland, where he remained a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Odorizzi) Ferrari. He was predeceased by his brothers; Richard (Dorothy), James, and Edwin Ferrari, brother in-laws; Edward Costante, James Vernacchio, and Ronnie Ejdys. Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years; Marie (Miglio) Ferrari, daughter and son in-law; Karen and Timothy Bonjean, son; Lawrence Jr., daughter and son in-law; Janet and Gene Vernacchio, grandchildren; Nichole and Dayne Bonjean, Christy, Gina, and Melissa Vernacchio, Michael, Matthew, and Megan Ferrari, great grandson; Benjamin Burns, sister; Jean (Ferrari) Leibow, sister in-laws; Louise and Lillian Ferrari, Louise Costante, Judith Zeuner (William), Dolores Vernacchio, Christine Ejdys, brother in-law; Joseph Miglio (Peggy) , and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Larry was a lifelong farmer. Along with his family, he successfully operated their family farm for many years before he retired in 1995. He was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish, Lieutenant Fireman of Vineland Company #5, a member of the New Italy American Society, Harmony Gun Club, South Jersey Produce, and the Vineland Produce Auction. Larry was also an altar boy and sang in the choir at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Most of all, Larry loved to spend time with his family. His many hobbies included; traveling, golfing, hunting, cooking, playing cards, and going to the casino. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 12:15pm at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave. Vineland. Larry will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday morning from 9am to 12noon at the CHURCH. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Padre Pio Parish, or St. Mary's School.
