Yolanda Santana, 29 of Vineland, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at home, surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Camden, NJ, she had lived in Vineland for the past 17 years.
Yolanda enjoyed singing and reading the bible. She comforted her family with her smile, taught mimes, arts and crafts. She helped raise her nephew and niece. Yolanda volunteered at the Karen Medical Day Center, Atlantic City, NJ.
She is survived by her mother, Ada Santana of Vineland, her father, Ismael Ruiz, Jr. of NJ, brother, Alexander Ruiz of Millville, 1 sister, Cindy Rivera and husband Nelson of Vineland, step-brothers, Junior Ruiz of Pa., and Daniel Ruiz of Florida, step-sisters, Carmen Moreno, Judy Ruiz and Silvia Ruiz all of Florida and Milly Ruiz of N. Mexico, Paternal grandmother, Filo Ruiz of Florida, maternal grandfather, Jose Santana of NJ, and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newfield. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm at and again on Thursday from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
