Alfred H. James, age 72, of Vineland, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the SJ Regional Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Westmoreland, Jamaica, he worked as a machine operator for Kimble Glass Company in Vineland for 33 years.
Alfred was an accomplished carpenter, loved to fix cars and really anything with a motor; he challenged himself (and his children!) with math puzzles. He is predeceased by one brother.
Survived by, his wife of 45 years, Ena (Whitelocke) James, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10am to 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that friends consider making a donation to DiabetesAction.org or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org).
