Obituary of Anna DeSanto

Anna De Santo, age 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland. Anna was born and raised on the D'Alessandro farm in the Piney Hollow section of Franklin Township and lived thereafter in Minotola. Anna was an accomplished dancer, for many years she enjoyed playing pinochle, clipping coupons and shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a kind, compassionate and deeply religious lady who attended mass daily for many years. Anna is survived by her son, Bob De Santo (Patty Bohn); daughter, Elaine Smith; son, Stephen (Alexandra) De Santo and daughter, Bernadettte Phillips (RJ Anderson); her grandchildren, Kevin Lehman, Stephanie Lo Biondo, Karen Sirota, Christopher De Santo, Jessica Phillips, Katelyn Phillips and Christian Anderson; four great grandchildren; her sister, Lucy Smith of Sunrise, Florida and her sisters-in-law, Millie (DeSanto) Boczak, and JoAnn D'Alessandro. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin; brothers, Joe, Tony, Jerry and Bruno D'Alessandro and sisters, Irma D'Alessandro, Mary Ippolito, and Frances Petta. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church 1010 E Landis Ave., Vineland. Anna will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Wednesday morning at the CHURCH from 9:30am to 10:45am.
