Obituary of Mary L. Ballard

Mary Louise (nee Downs) Ballard, age 90, a resident of Seashore Gardens Living Center of Galloway, passed away peacefully at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, November 30th, 2017. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Milmay, NJ in 1961 where she raised her family. Mary was a foster parent for many years before working at the Claridge Hotel & Casino as a garde manger chef until her retirement. She is survived by her children, William (Sylvia) Ballard, Robert (Donna) Ballard, Mary Beth (Joseph) Forcinito, Jeanne (Rodney) Olsen, Brian (Anna) Ballard and Kristina McErlain; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and her siblings, Raymond Downs, Eugene Downs, Robert (Shirley) Downs, and Theresa Dundee. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard Downs, Eddie Downs and son-in-law, Timothy McErlain. Family and Friends may gather for a viewing from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday evening, December 3rd, 2017 at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland, and on Monday, December 4th, 2017 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church, 504 West Ave. Minotola, NJ 08401 where a viewing will take place at 10am to 10:45am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am. Mary will be laid to rest at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ. Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
