Obituary of Molly Dickel
Please share a memory of Molly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Molly (Brennan) Dickel. Molly passed away, after a brief illness, February 11th at Cooper University Hospital in Camden NJ, due to complications of lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband Bob and her family until the end. Molly was 60 years old.
She was born on February 15, 1957 in Millville, NJ and was a lifelong resident of the greater Vineland area. She worked in various jobs in the food service industry as a chef, but was primarily a homemaker. She attended Sacred Heart High School in Vineland.
Molly was a gentle and caring person who spent much of her life as a caregiver for friends and family members who reached out to her during times of illness and need. She kept vigil over them in her home and responded with love and humor and great meals. Her care for others was very special indeed. Always giving, often putting her own welfare and health second. She spent her life helping others, often to their last days. Molly recently nursed her beloved husband Bob, himself fighting and defeating cancer, for almost two years. She was a very special person who dedicated her life to helping others. Molly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Molly is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob Dickel of Vineland; brother, Dean "Sparky" Brennan and wife Michelle of Tampa, FL; sister, Megan Brennan of Vineland; nephews, Damien Mansell of Vineland and John Brennan of Tampa, FL and niece Kathleen (Brennan) Emir and husband Sefa of Morristown, NJ.
Molly was preceded in death by her father, Richard Brennan; her mother, Regina "Jeannie" (Brennan); her brother, Richard "Rich" Brennan and sister, Kathleen "Kitt" Brennan.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 17th at 3:30pm at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. in Vineland. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Molly's life with her family and friends on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm at the funeral home.
