Obituary of Regina M Luisi

Regina M. (Bassano) Luisi, 68 of Vineland, went to join her little angel in heaven on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. She passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Vineland, she was a graduate of Vineland High School, Cumberland County College and the first graduating class of Rowan University.

 

Regina worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Millville for 30 years and for the Vineland Board of Education as an English Teacher for the North/South Building for 20 years, where she loved teaching all of her students. She also was co-owner and partner with her husband, Skip, of DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, Vineland.

 

Regina was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Junior Achievements, NJEA, NJ Jaycettes, NJ Jaycees and award winning chapter president of the Landis Jaycees. She also was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish, where she taught CCD and was a member of the church council. She was a lector at Sacred Heart Church and Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. Regina was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Church where she loved helping at the food pantry. She also was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

 

Regina attended mass everyday. She loved Ocean City and Sea Isle City. She enjoyed the summertime visits with her family and friends and her long walks on the beach with her niece, Lindsey. Regina enjoyed golfing and was in the Chix with Stix Golfing League. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandson, Daniel.

 

She is predeceased by her parents, Vincent J. and Sophie A (Rychlicki) Bassano; her daughter, Danielle and niece, Dena Damminger.

 

Regina is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rudolph A "Skip" Luisi; her children, Melissa Luisi (Samuel), Tony Luisi (Noelia) and Vincent Luisi; her grandson, Daniel Rivera; her fur babies, Bella and Sully; her sister, Linda Ravior (Glenn); sisters-in-law, Virginia "Ginny" Damminger and Carmella Dooley; nieces, Renee, Dawn and Lindsey; nephew, Ryan and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Family and friends will be received on Sunday evening from 5pm to 8pm and again on Monday morning from 9am to 10:15am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd, Vineland. Regina will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danielle C. Luisi Schlorship Fund.
